Carson BLAKESLEY Obituary

December 19, 2004-March 5, 2024

In Loving Memory

Carson "Willy" Blakesley passed away peacefully on the morning of March 5, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. Carson was an adventurous young boy who had the ability to master everything he put his mind to. At three years old he learned to ride his bike without training wheels all because he was told he was too young to do so. "Oh, ya…..watch this" he said. This showed his defiant spirit. He was destined to live a life the way he wanted to and nobody was going to tell him differently. Carson had a natural ability to pick up anything he set his mind to and be excellent at it. He started playing baseball at five years old and quickly found his calling as a pitcher. He played for various teams and once pitched a season and a half without giving up a run! He enjoyed playing hockey for a few years and relished the "roughness" of the game. Racing go karts became a passion of his at eight years old. Carson won multiple championships and had countless wins. He was widely known throughout the racing community as a fierce competitor but was often found laughing and playing with his fellow competitors after the helmets came off. Fishing was the great passion of Carson's life where he enjoyed the tranquility of the lakes and rivers he stalked, even when he was supposed to be at school, always releasing the fish so they could grow and be caught again the following week. Carson joked and laughed, bringing joy to everyone he touched every day of his 19 years, 2 months, and 15 day on earth.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 23, at 3:30pm, located at Center Place Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, Spokane Valley, WA 99216.

In addition to his parents, Shane and Karrie Blakesley and brother Cameron Blakesley, Carson is survived by his paternal grandparents Wade and Sue Blakesley and Debby and Dale Halstead; maternal grandparents, Mike and Sheryl Van Dinter; paternal aunt and uncle Shannon and Nate Sanford, and cousin Mayzee, uncle and aunt Shaun and ArReal Blakesley, and cousins Gage, Ryker, and Tanner, uncle and aunt Chris and Amanda Campbell and cousins Adalee and Burklee; maternal aunt Sarah Orr and cousins Ethan, Landon, Aleah, and Brayden, and lifelong friends Cameron Stewart, Riley Miller, and Hunter Hawk. He is proceeded in death by his maternal uncle Derek Orr.

Our family would like to thank the numerous doctors and nurses at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center CICU for the dedication and care to our son in his final days. Their love, devotion, and passion for caring for others is appreciated more than they will ever know.

So sorry for the loss of this young boy. Today I think is his one year in heaven. He seems to have touched many people. Even after leaving this earth you brought life. No words can explain.

I was so saddened to see this obituary. I have fond memories of your family and Carson's humor and spunky personality. I often thought of him since I retired from Post Falls as his principal. Condolences to your family.
