Mar 3, 1952 - Jan 31, 2025
Dan Randal Wright was born on March 3, 1952, to Clary Wright and Norma Wright (Leith) in Spokane, Washington. A beloved son, brother, husband, and friend, Dan passed away on January 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and kindness.
A true contemporary Renaissance man, Dan was a vibrant artist, cartoonist, musician, writer, and self-proclaimed comedian. He was a deeply spiritual soul who cared profoundly for humanity; he was known for always keeping cash in his car to give to those in need.
Dan graduated from University High School in 1970 and earned his Master's in Education from Washington State University (WSU). He dedicated much of his professional life to working with disabled clients, finding meaningful ways to help them discover laughter and joy. In 1992, Dan married his best friend and the love of his life, Kayse Sewright. They spent over 30 wonderful years together, making their home and building their lives in Littleton, Colorado.
One of Dan's most defining qualities - shared with his twin brother, Dennis, and his late brother, Dave - was a boundless passion for life. Together, the brothers found humor in every situation and inspired everyone around them to be their best selves.
Dan was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Kayse Wright (Sewright); his parents, Clary and Norma Wright; his stepmother, Yvonne Kovacevich; and his brother, David Wright.
He is survived by his stepfather, Bob Kovacevich; his stepmother, Gail Wright; and his brothers, Bud Wright and Dennis Wright (wife Jackie). He also leaves behind his sister, Tawni Wright (husband Shawn); his nieces, Ronda Mohr and Jessica Wolfrum (husband Erik); and his nephews, Brandon, Bryan, and Christian. Dan's memory will also be carried on by his stepchildren, several beloved grandchildren, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

I'm so sorry to hear of this and send condolences to Dennis and family. I knew Dan and Dennis in high school they were seniors with my first husband Jim Oglesbee. But I sang in chorus with Dan and remember him from I'm certain that we were in the musical Brigadoon at University high school. I remember him to always be a good humor and a friendly supportive person.
