I had alot of respect for Coach Vogel. My junior year in high school(Selkirk) we had lost a close basketball game at Cusick. Coach Vogel came into our locker room after the game and congratulated us on a hard fought game and wished us well for the rest of the season. It was a class act, and I've never forgotten it.

Memories of Fred from the years I worked with him at Cusick School are sweet. We shared many conversations in the lunch room. I learned that Fred was a prayer warrior and lifted his coworkers in prayer (wether they wanted him to or not). I respected and appreciated Fred's work with his students, including my sons. The impact he made will endure for generations to come. My condolences to Gloria and his family. You are in our prayers.

Gloria, Vicki and Vance, my thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family. I'm so glad I had a chance to visit briefly with Mr. Vogel in September. His spirit lives on through all he taught us and the memories we have of him. Love to all.

Gloria-I was so sad to hear about Fred's passing. Vicki and I were good friends many years ago, when we lived in Cusick. My brother Dennis Masters (d. 10/22/10), played football for Fred in the 70's at Cusick, and thought so much of Fred and used to visit with him at the Panther games. He will be sorely missed by many. God bless you and your family. My condolences to you and your whole family.

Gloria - I was saddened to learn of Fred's passing. We all go back many years to good old LC class of '54. I think we were at every reunion, too. I think the last one was our '60th', in 2014. Fred and I reminisced about our bowling days in high school. I lost Don in March, 2015 from pancreatic cancer. I send warm thoughts and prayers to you.
