Jeffrey JONES Obituary

JONES, Jeffrey Wayne

Passed peacefully in his sleep at the Hospice House South in Spokane on October 22, 2016 from cancer. Jeff was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 24, 1951, moved to New Castle, Indiana and was raised in La Canada, California. Jeff was a childhood actor; he played in Greyhound commercials, on Ozzie and Harriet, Perry Mason and others. Jeff was a good athlete and a strong swimmer. He played football in La Canada High School along with other team sports. Jeff moved to Spokane, WA and worked as a tree surgeon. Jeff served time in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged. Jeff never spoke ill of our country or the war, even after his long lasting disabilities from exposure to chemical Agent Orange. Jeff's parents were Charles and Virginia Jones. He left behind his sister, Janelle Harm; his nephews Dustin, Branden and Janson McElfish; also a niece, Bethanie Hennings. Jeff lived approximately thirty days after a diagnosis of inoperable cancer. He will be missed by all who knew him and remembered for his kind nature. The service to honor Jeff will be held Thursday, November 3rd at 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Veteran's Cemetery in Medical Lake, 21702 W. Espanola Rd. The family will have a reception following the service.

May you rest in peace, Jeff. I had intended on reuniting with you as hadn't seen you since you were a little boy.
Distance is so far, but family is always in my heart.
