John BAUMANN Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of John Kent Baumann, a beloved father, devoted friend, Veteran, and passionate motorcycle enthusiast, who left us on August 17, 2024, at the age of 61 due to a tragic motorcycle accident.

John was born on November 5, 1962, in Santa Ana, CA. He grew up with a passion for adventure and exploration, which ultimately led him to serve in the United States Army for 15 years. John took great pride in his military service, embodying the values of honor, bravery, and commitment. His experiences shaped him into a man of integrity, compassion, and resilience and he carried these qualities into every aspect of his life.

A devoted father to his children, he was the epitome of a loving dad. John was a dedicated servant of God and he encouraged his children to embrace life with enthusiasm and to pursue their dreams fearlessly. When John was not working, he would be found at a hockey rink supporting his boys and their teammates. His children were his world, and his love for them knew no bounds.

John is survived by his children, Noah, Zachariah, Victoria, Sean, and Jonathan, and his granddaughter, Ella. He also leaves behind his sister, Terri and brother, Bob Baumann. He was predeceased by his mother, Anna Bedwell.

A memorial service to honor John's life will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 4 PM, at the South Hill Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Numerica Credit Union in John Baumann's name.

John's legacy will live on through his children, the countless lives he touched, and the memories he created. His adventurous spirit, love for his family, and unwavering commitment to serving others will forever be remembered. Rest in peace, dear John. Your journey may have ended too soon, but your love and spirit will forever ride on in the hearts of those who knew you.

I am deeply saddened and stunned by the passing of JB. We both began our journey at Avista around the same time, and quickly formed a bond over our shared faith in God and our desire to make a meaningful impact in our lives and work. He was a devoted and bold Christian who loved God, his country, and his family with all his heart.

Reflecting on our last conversation, I am grateful that I had the chance to share with him the significant impact he had made at Avista. I can only imagine the even greater impact he had on those who knew him over the course of his life. He will be dearly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May he rest in eternal peace.
