John I wish I could have spent more time with you in our adult years. I am so happy to have spent those many days together in our youth at Loon Lake. Your eyes would glow on the Fourth of July with all of those fireworks. And you were the only one who could turn a full flip off of that old wooden diving board. I always was jealous of that Olympic moment.
You got to be a member of the family that I will cherish the rest of my life. Say hi to Don.

I met John 30 years ago when his sister Patti and I got together. The first time I met him he played a song on his guitar and sang it in a style that would make Tom Waits or Johnny Cash seem shy. Rest in peace Johnny, you were one of a kind.
