Joseph TRUDEAU Obituary

TRUDEAU, Joseph Lawrence
(Age 94)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on June 24, 2018. Joe was born in Burbank, SD. As a young boy he moved to Spokane after the death of his father. He graduated from John Rogers HS in 1942, and enlisted in the Army Air Force. He worked as an aerial engineer, training airmen headed for both Europe and the Pacific during WWII.
After the war, he returned home, met and married the love of his life Katherine. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier until his retirement. Joe had a full life that centered on family and friends. In early years he bowled and played fast pitch softball. He was also a Cub Scout leader and Scout Master. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, boating and camping. Many happy summers were enjoyed at Luby Bay, on Priest Lake. The great enjoyment of his life were his grandkids. They all have many adventures and memories of time spent with grandpa. He played cribbage, bridge and golf. He especially liked traveling to play golf with family and friends. He was president of the Men's Club at Sundance Golf Course for many years. He was especially proud to be a member of the "Hole in One" Club.
Joe was preceded in death by parents Simon and Ellen Trudeau; his five siblings, infant daughter Yvonne, and son Duane. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine "Kaye" of 71 years of marriage; children Renee (Bill) Hayes, Brian (Melinda) Trudeau, Mark (Geri) Trudeau, and Michelle (Dan) Wilson; 15 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.
Special Thanks to Brookdale North and Holy Family ACU for their attentive care. We would especially like to thank Hospice House North for their loving care and compassion to not only Joe but his family as well. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Vigil Services will be at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4420 N. Jefferson, Spokane, WA at 7 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018. Joe and his wife Kaye consistently uplifted people around them; Both are so positive and enthusiastic. We enjoyed the privilege of family times when we were included with the Wilson Family gatherings and life events. Joe was always so friendly, kind, with a beaming smile and bright eyes. Kaye still shows these same wonderful characteristics which we admire.

With each remembrance of them we give thanks (Phillipians 1:3).

Thank you Joe for your military service, and for being our friend. We look forward to seeing Kaye as life goes on.
Joe leaves his favorable imprint upon the hearts of all those he knew and touched. Joe now has eternal peace at home with Christ our Lord and Savior.

With heartfelt loving support for Kaye and the Family,
Duane and Trudy Grummons
