Marie BUCKLEY Obituary

Marie Ethel Buckley went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2022. She was born September 10, 1930, to Marie Ethel Waters Miller and William Paul Miller in Tacoma, Wash. She met her husband Vernon Buckley at Whitworth College in 1949. They married in Tacoma on March 10, 1950. She later became the loving mother to Steve, Paul, and Carolyn. She taught English and Washington State History at Salk Jr. High for 17 years. She was a member of Minnehaha Covenant Church. She played piano, taught Bible studies, and helped as a secretary. Close to her heart was the Spokane Police Department; she volunteered and served on the board of the Spokane Police Chaplaincy, starting in the '80s. She leaves behind children: Steve and Donna Buckley, Carolyn Pavlovic, daughter-in-law Judy Buckley, grandchildren: Luke and Jen Buckley, Amy and Tim Meyer, Christie Buckley, Sarah and Tommy Hoaglan, Rachel and Adam Campbell III, Rebekah Pavlovic, Anamarie Pavlovic, great-grandchildren: Querida and Donny Simpson, Geoff Meyer, Taylor Buckley, Payton, and Randy Christiansen, Xavier and Kaylie Meyer, Victoria Peyron, Daniel Buckley, Zarah Meyer, Maren Campbell, Adam Campbell IV, Linden Campbell, Opal Campbell; great-greatgrandchildren: Randy Luke Christiansen, Ahriya Christiansen, Miriam Simpson, and Augustin Meyer. She leaves behind siblings David Miller, Sharon Clark, Carol, Jerry Heath, and sister-in-law Mary Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon and by brothers William Paul Miller Jr. and Raymond Edgar Miller.
