Mary LAWS Obituary

May 31, 1965 - March 10, 2025

Spokane - Mary passed away at the age of 59, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary is survived by her husband, Rory, of 33 years; her parents, Ron and Barbara Mindrup; three sisters, Teresa (Alan), Helen (Scott), and Sharon (David); and seven nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Cheney High School in 1983 and the University of Montana in 1987, where she met her husband and fell in love with the mountains of Montana. Mary had a successful 34-year career with the U.S. Forest Service and retired as Recreational Program Manager. Mary had many loves in life, including the outdoors, camping, hiking, hunting, gardening, family, and huckleberry picking. She also loved animals and volunteered for 10 years at the Kootenai Pets for Life. She was a rescuer of numerous fur babies.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the Marshall Cemetery, 8411 W. Melville Rd., Cheney, WA, where friends and family will gather to celebrate a life well lived. There will be a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary's name to Kootenai Pets for Life in Libby, MT.
