I just now found out about Nick's passing as I do not access social media; however, I wish to give my deepest condolences to his wife, Barbara, and the rest of his family and friends. I worked in the same office (former INS suboffice) as Nick from 1995 to 1999 in Spokane, Washington. I recall Nick and his wife, Barbara, kindly inviting me to their home for dinner in Spokane, Washington shortly after I arrived on duty. Nick was a good man, very smart, always full of confidence. He was certainly the best and the most competent Firearms Instructor I ever had, and during many conversations throughout my career I never hesitated with others to mention his good advice on the job. Once I left Spokane, Washington, returning to Arizona and working on the US/Mexico border, I unfortunately lost contact with Nick, but ALWAYS remembered the confidence and tact he exuded in many discussions he and I had regarding the field and his love for the outdoors. God bless you, Nick. And I know that those who loved you will always have a special place for you in their hearts. - Anthony Consolino, DHS/ICE (retired)

You worked with my Dad in the Border Patrol and he always spoke so highly of you. Thank you for your service and friendship with my Dad. I'll miss chatting with you about those days. And I'll remember a peaceful moment with you, along the river up on Canfield mountain. Life was good that day, last summer. God bless Nick, Barb and Ethan.

Rest in peace our dear friend. You will be missed. We have shared many a good meal together with you Barb and Ethan. We never turned down an invite to your home. Your cuisine was top shelf. Thank you for teaching me to use my colt 38 special up at the lake that day. Thank you for your service to our country and being a friend to us. Meet you in Heaven.
