Parmalee MOOS Obituary

MOOS, Parmalee Jean Brouillard (Age 88) A 35 year Wenatchee resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Colonial Vista in Wenatchee. She was born on Novem-ber 4, 1924, daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Pfeffer) Brouillard at Anchorage, Alaska. At an early age, the family moved to Wapato and later to Sunnyside. She attended elementary, junior high school and high school in Sunnyside. She graduated from the Sunnyside High School and continued her education at Washington State College. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority at Pullman and while receiving her formal education, she met Donald W. "Don" Moos, a fellow student. While Don was serving in the European Theatre in W.W.II, she moved to Seattle where she worked until his return. They were married on August 12, 1945 in Sunnyside. They returned to Washington State College and she finished her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1947. She created beautiful homes, exquisite meals and loving memories in Edwall, Olympia and Wenatchee. She is survived by her husband, Donald W. "Don" Moos, Wenatchee; one daughter and son-in-law, Merry K. Moos and Locke deBruyne, Durham, North Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, William H. "Bill" and Kendra Moos, Pullman, WA; one brother, L.A. "Bill" Brouillard, Port Angeles, WA; five grandchildren, Christa Bohlke, Richland, WA, Brittany Johnson, Valleyford, WA, Robert "Bo" Moos, San Francisco, CA, Kaitlin S. Moos, and Benjamin B. Moos both of Pullman, WA, five great grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah and Caleb Bohlke all of Richland, WA and Landon and Wyatt Johnson both of Valleyford, WA; her many many nieces, nephews and other family members and her beloved Ms Kitty. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family wished to thank the staff of Colonial Vista, Hospice and Lee Dambis for their care and all the comfort they provided. A special Thank You to Gaylene and Jim Pope, who were always there for her and the family to help in any and every way possible. To Celebrate a life well lived, please wear an elegant hat, adopt a cat or toast Parmalee with a piece of very fine chocolate. The family desires no flowers and wishes instead that contributions in her name be made to Cancer Care of N.C.W. or the Humane Society. A Celebration service will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 941 Washington Street, Wenatchee with Reverend Julia Price and Chaplain Keith Kirkpatrick officiating.
