Paul LEWIS Obituary

Paul William Lewis passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2022, at the age of 78.

He was born in Spokane, Washington, to Carl and Renoldis Lewis, and had one brother, Philip Lewis ( Gwen) who preceded him in death, and a sister, Carol Steel (Bill) of Minnesota.

Paul graduated from Rogers High School in 1961, and went on to graduate from University of Washington in 1966. He spent his career teaching at Spokane Community College, where he founded the Big Foot Daycare Center, and Lewis Accounting & Assoc. After retiring, Paul went on to travel and teach overseas; among his favorite places were Budapest and Estonia.

Paul married his first wife, Barbara, in 1964. They had two sons Christopher, who preceded him in death in 1995; and Carl ( Mary); three grandsons, Andrew, Curtis and Cole.

He married his second wife Cassandra, who preceded him in death in 1994; stepson Bryan McDonald( Hedi) grandchildren Sten and Sandra; stepdaughter Christy Canoy; granddaughter Aleah.

Paul found love again and married Renee Carman, and enjoyed many years with stepson Travis and stepdaughter Meagan (Jason) Kappen; grandsons Carus, Drake and Jett.

He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and family, both here and abroad. His service will be on February 26, 2022, at noon, at Open Door Community Church, in Deer Park, Washington, with a reception to follow.

A special thank you to Marianne Wyatt and her son Zach Scott for providing care, allowing Paul to stay in his home.
