Scott BARTON Obituary

It is with great sadness for our family to announce the passing of Scott Kenneth Barton on October 21, 2023, at age 67. Scott was born on August 23, 1956, to Arnold and Karen Barton in Laredo, Texas. The Barton's made their way to Spokane, WA, where Scott was active in Boy Scouts of America attending several Jamborees. He graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1974, and joined the Navy where he served on the USS Merrill. Scott married Kimm L. Williams (divorced 1987) and together they had two children, Oleta and Jesse. In 1986, Scott graduated from Spokane Community College with an Associate's in Applied Science - Automated Equipment/ Robotics Technician degree. Scott re-married in 2012 to Mina Enos. After her passing in 2013, Scott moved to Vancouver, WA, to be closer to his parents. There Scott made a host of friends including Hannah Valenti. With his knowledge and curiosity of how things worked, Scott worked in the electronics field most of his adult life. Most recently building electrical panels for Charter Controls, in Vancouver, WA. He was proud of the machines he built. When Scott wasn't tinkering on some project, you could find him in his natural habitat with his nose in a book. He was an avid reader, a fan of Doctor Who and Star Trek, and a lover of food. Scott loved to create meals for his friends and family. Scott left behind his parents Karen and Arnold Barton. His children Oleta Barton, Jesse (Janae) Barton. His grandkids Taylor, Jaxon, Jace, Jensen, Mabel, and Margo. His sisters Leslie Dolence, Stephanie Barton, and brother-in-law Andrew Dittman. His nieces and nephews Adrienne, Xaavan, Xaalan, Coulter, and Xaaran and his uncle Phillip Durkee.
