Teresa Anne "Teri" MAURICE

Teresa Anne "Teri" Maurice passed away in her sleep on October 9, 2025, following a brief illness.

Born on July 12, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, to Hugh and Virginia Mullen, Teri graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in 1965 and from UCLA in 1969.

Following a career in the banking industry in California, Colorado, and New Mexico, she became a freelance indexer and created back-of-the-book indexes for over 100 nonfiction books including some nationally well-known titles.

Teri loved the arts, and during 24 years living at Sandpoint, Idaho, and 10 years at Spokane, Washington, she contributed her talents to multiple amateur choral and dramatic groups. Always kind and generous, she volunteered her services to the Panhandle Animal Shelter in Sandpoint and Meals on Wheels in Spokane. Teri's "trademark" was her habit, whenever she encountered a stranger, of finding something on which to compliment them.

Teri is survived by her brothers, Tom and Rich; her nieces, Meghan and Colleen; and her husband of 44 years, Rob. Teri's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane for their care, kindness and humanity.

She will be sorely missed but never forgotten. An intimate celebration of Teri's life, for close friends and family, will be scheduled later.
