His experience in the drilling industry covered environmental, water, mineral and oil drilling for over 30 years.

The Keoghs are iconic. There is nothing more I can say-others are saying it so eloquently. Big loss-too soon.

As I think of Tom I see him running. Straight back, short strides, concentrating and preparing for what might come next. We were low posts opposite each other playing basketball in high school. His was a game of instinct and sudden response. When he was on it was a wonder to behold. Oh how I wish we had been more skilled teammates and had carried him on our shoulders after winning a championship. But I don't think that mattered to him. He would rip down an offensive rebound and muscle it back up. And that seemed to him all the joy he needed. From those who knew him later in life it sounds like he kept these simple priorities intact. I love these memories of Tom, and will keep them with me always.

To my dear friend Tom:

An Old Irish Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

To lose both Tom and Dennis in such a short time is difficult to fathom. Two of my favorite guys at G-Prep. Tom had a great sense of humor and was a fearless teammate. Rest in peace brother.

Tom was my friend for 47 years. He always thought of other people first. His needs were secondary. His family and friends meant everything to him. If Tom heard someone needed help, he was there no matter what he had planned. He treated everyone with dignity and respect. Tom picked up every hitchhiker he passed. When asked why , he said many people had picked him up so, he made a comittment to do the same. He would say Hey that person needs a hand. It will only take a minute. He genuinely cared about others. The people he met in life were graced by his calm polite manner and beaming smile. He loved a good joke and had a laugh I will never forget. There is a special place in heaven for Tom Keogh. He is there now willing to help anyone who needs a hand.I will NEVER forget my friend Tom. No greater friend can be imagined. Condolences to the entire family. God Bless

Tom was as good a guy as you could find, a loyal friend, a hard worker and yes, a great athlete. After I left G Prep and went to Shadle Park I was still a fan of watching Tom play. He single handily destroyed my Highlanders one game and I rushed to congratulate him. I took a lot of flak for that but I didn't care. I was so proud of him and glad to to be considered a friend. Tom was also one of the hardest workers I knew. I remember shoveling coke out of train cars and fixing a bulkhead out at Petek's and he was a machine. Then there was his exploits with Bones Etten down in the oil fields in Wyoming. Those two had so many adventures together and great stories to share when they returned. I'm not surprised to hear he did so well in the drilling business. Lots of great memories of Tom and very shocked and saddened by the news of his passsing. God bless you Tom and Rest In Peace.

Tom was one of my favorite basketball players to be around. He played for me at LCSC on the JV team his freshman year. Best Tom Keogh memory....we go up to WSU to play the WSU JV team (probably is 1974/1975 time frame). They start two 6'11'' guys and one 7 footer(future NBA player James Donaldsen). Of course I am a bit worried about the inside play that evening...Tom looks at me and says.."coach ths is going to be great/fun". He scores 39 points that game(all inside on his tricky baseline moves) and we win. Unreal !!!! Best Tom Keogh memory. Our thoughts are with his family and especially Brooke....Fritz & Shannon Strankman
