BOLIN, George 76, of Tremont City, passed away Monday evening, February 16, at his son's residence in Raleigh, NC. He was born January 5, 1939 in Cable Ohio, the son of Melvin and Eleanor (Butz) Bolin. He was a 1956 graduate of Tecumseh High School. He is survived by his wife of 57 year, Bertha (Benninghofen) Bolin, a son, Dr. David (Kelly) Bolin, a grandson, Kevin Bolin, and two sisters, Nancy (Mike) LaBarre, and Mary (Ron) Bailey, brother-in-law, Fred Benninghofen, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, Sandra Guyton, Jim Virts, and many other close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-laws, Richard Winterman, Dwight Thompson, sister-in-laws Maryann Winterman, Mythol Benninghofen. George was a member of Anthony Lodge #455, Antioch Temple of Dayton, B.P.O.E. #51, and a 46 year member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #397. He served on the Tremont City Village Council for 23 years of which 6 years as Mayor. As owner of Bolin & Son Builders, he built 35 residential houses in Tremont City, and 265 in Clark County and the surrounding area. Upon his retiring from building he worked for the City of Springfield as building and zoning inspector. A cherished husband, father, and grandfather who loved cooking for his family and friends. He enjoyed helping people. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 9-11 at Jackson-Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home, 2425 N. Limestone Street, Springfield, OH, with services to follow with Dr. Art Guyton officiating.
