News Death Notice

JOHNSON, Inez M. 89, of Springfield, died April 11, 2011 in her residence. She was born May 7, 1921 in Erie, PA to John and Zita (Orsetti) Petrucelli. Early in her career Inez was a self-employed cosmetologist, then she owned and operated the Venture Inn for a number of years and later was a licensed real estate agent with Pitstick Realty until her retirement. Above all her interest, family was the most important thing in her life. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. Survivors include her four children, Bob Aston, John (Karen) Aston of Springfield, Sheri (Ron) Switzer, Dayton, OH and Vicky (Larry) Sutch, Springfield; eleven grandchildren, Vincent, Michael, Lora, Kevin, Jessica, Melissa, Joshua, Sara, Alexandra, Regina and Anthony; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Burkholder, El Cajon, CA, Norma Zlocki, Culpmont, PA and Victoria Sullivan, Glenshaw, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Johnson; two sisters, Rita Lombard and Elda Petrucelli; two brothers, Robert and Joseph Petrucelli; and a daughter in law, Linda Aston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in St. Teresa Church. Family will receive friends for one hour, beginning at 12:00 noon, Friday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

To Inez's Family -
I don't have to tell you that you have lost an amazing person here on earth, but heaven has gained an amazing angel! I am so glad to have known Inez. My prayers are with you and hope you may find peace. My heart is saddened at the loss of a dear person. To know Inez was to love her. She had a quick smile for all. God Bless.
