FULTON, Roger Alan Roger Alan Fulton "The Telephone Man" died peacefully after a long battle with cancer at the Brookdale facility on May 15 in Springfield, Ohio at the age of 77. Roger is survived by his children, stepchildren and grandchildren, Clifford Fulton of Put-in-Bay Oh., Carrie (John) Cabral of Newtown Ct., Curtis (Missy) Fulton of Tampa Fl., Jeff (Lisa) Floyd of Jacksonville Fl., and Jennifer (Keith) Baldwin of North Hampton Oh., Grandchildren Benjamin Fulton of Dublin Oh, Katy Fulton of Norfolk Va., Rebecca Fulton of Springfield, Michael Cabral, Jesse Cabral and Joey Morales of Newtown Ct. Rachel, Sarah Baldwin of Springfield and Alica, Josh, Jason and Haley Floyd of Jacksonville Fl. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lula, the mother of his children, Eileen Malloy Fulton and sister-law Dorothy Fulton. Roger was born on August 16, 1937 in Springfield, Ohio to Frank and Lula. He graduated from South High School in 1956. Roger entered the Navy immediately after graduating and a year of Army Medical Corp reserves. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in Newfoundland and moved to NYC to start a new job at Sperry Rand. He married Eileen Malloy of New York City and eventually moved back to his hometown of Springfield to start his new career at Ohio Bell. Roger spent the next 30 years with the Bell phone companies in different positions and company mergers. After retirement, Roger started his own phone system repair company, named Alan's Tel where he served Springfield area's businesses for over 15 years. Roger enjoyed collecting and selling antiques, with a passion for garage sales and auctions. He also loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Five years ago, Roger made a move to spend summers at Put-in-Bay, where he became involved in the senior community and volunteered at the island nature center and the Erie Island Historical Society resale shop. Roger's funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow at Enon Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
