Catherine M. Longo
Catherine M. Longo, "Kati" lifelong resident of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022, at the age of 90.
Born on October 20, 1931, she was the youngest daughter of the late Vito and Rosemarie Gerardi Longo.
Kati is survived by her beloved sister Carmella (Millie) Terenzio and sister-in-law Lucille Longo (Carmine).
Kati was predeceased by her brothers: Frank Longo (Asunta), Gerald Longo (Ann), Joseph Longo, Walter Longo (Setsuko), William Longo and Carmine Longo; her sister Margaret "Margie" DiDonato (Anthony), brother-in-law Joseph "George" Terenzio, a nephew Frank Longo and great-great nephew AJ.
Kati leaves behind 20 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces, and nephews. She was a member of the Stamford High School graduating class of 1949. After high school, she was employed briefly at Freyberg's Ribbon Factory and Consolidated Diesel until she began her career with the State of Connecticut around 1955, where she was employed as a clerk with the Stamford Superior Court for 34 years, finally retiring in 1989.
Kati had a passion for jewelry and shopping and was well known for her fashion sense. She was an avid bowler in her day and had a great love for sports, the casino and BINGO! She will always be remembered for her Volkswagen Karmann Ghia and personalized plate "Kati." She had an unconditional love for family and will remain forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brighton Gardens in Stamford for their exceptional care as well as Constellation Hospice. Rest in Peace "Kati!"
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. at 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford (Bosak Funeral Home). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements were handled by Terenzio Funeral Services.

I am so sorry to hear of Kati's passing. My Grandfather Frank Grosso and Kati,were first cousins. She was a lovely person and I always enjoyed our talks when we would she each other. May God Bless Millie and the family with his Peace and Love. Rest In Peace dear Kati.

To the family,
Katie was one of the nicest people I have ever known. So sweet, always a kind word and fun personality. She was such a good friend to my dad, at 444. I loved exchanging casino stories with her! I will fondly remember her. May she RIP
