Frank P. Giannattasio Sr.
Frank P. Giannattasio Sr. 84, a former resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 2, 2018 in McKinney, Texas. Born on June 29, 1934 in Stamford CT, to the late Frank and Minnie Bria Giannattasio. Dad was surrounded in his dying days by Frank Jr., wife Carol, granddaughter Michelle, her husband Paul, Great Grandchildren Pj, Frankie, Anthony and Madison. Daughter Ericka (Minnie) and husband Jason, Granddaughters Berkeley and Penelope. Living most of his life in Stamford family and friends, especially Joe, Sam, Bob and Mike knew him by several nick names: The Kerm, The Old Man, Mr. Trash, Cosmo and Pops. Frank pioneered the commercial dumpster business in Stamford in the 1950s, owned G&G Waste Systems along with several other business in Stamford, Norwalk, and Deer Creek, Oklahoma. Frank is survived by his sons Frank Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Mickey of Norwalk, Ct. Daughters Ericka of Shawnee Oklahoma, Wendy of Stamford, Ct. and Robin of unknown parts. Several grandchildren and Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and brother Richard. Frank was preceded in death by sister Marie White and brother John Giannattasio. A family funeral service and interment was held on August 3, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 North Central Expressway North, Allen Texas 75013.
A memorial service will be held on a later date in Stamford, Connecticut.
