Our friend Lena has left us for a better world... free of pain, free of hospitals, free of every type of sorrow.

We should all count our blessings in life. Lena was a true blessing. Although I only knew her for the past 8 years, I knew how truly blessed I was to know and love her.

I will miss that rye sense of humor, the great conversations about anything and everything, and I will miss her laugh.

I'll never forget her visit to the hospital after I had my baby. There she came, oxygen tank and mask in tow. God,how grateful I am for her love and friendship.

Until we meet again in heaven, may God keep us all in his prayers and watch over us.

I met Lena about 30 years ago. She lived inthe condo nextdoor to where I lived and I just wanted to play with her baby girl. Who knew that because of that she and my mom Nancy would become best friends forever. I fondly remember trips to the beach, weekends spent together by the pool, and many many family gatherings. She spent most of her life fighting her illnesses when most people, I think myself included, would have given up. She defied the odds more times than I count. She was truely one of the strongest women I know and she will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Joe, Lisa, and the rest of the family.
