Julie G. Marchetti, 68, of Drums passed away Friday at her residence.
Born in Hazleton on Feb. 13, 1955, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Sabo) Petrick and stepfather, Charles Haganey.
Julie was one of a kind. When she wasn't playing pranks, acting goofy, telling crazy jokes or busting on you, she was a kind loving mother and grandmother. Julie was not one to sit still, she was always asking her daughters to go shopping or travel with her as she enjoyed this family time together.
She loved the outdoors, especially when she was planting her garden and flowers. Her love for animals was not only directed at her house cat, but also the many animals near and around her house including the beautiful songbirds in her garden that she enjoyed feeding and caring for.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, and stepfather, Charles Haganey, was her husband of 35 years, Robert Marchetti.
Surviving are her daughters, Melissa Mitchell and her husband, Kevin; Joleen Lesho; brothers, Thomas Petrick, John Petrick, Joseph Hagany and his fiancée, Amanda; sisters, Deborah Gogola and her husband, Walter; Gladys Burns; and Charlotte Haganey; and grandchildren, Olivia and Jake.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Good Shepherd Church, Hunter Highway, Drums. The Rev. Michael Kloton will preside.
Friends and family may call for a visitation period that will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
