Michael Stephen Ropchock III

1972 - 2019

PRESTON - Michael Stephen Ropchock III, 46, died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton.
He was born on March 19, 1972, in Easton, the son of Sandra Jones Ropchock and the late Michael Ropchock Jr.
After high school, he worked at Seaboard Enterprises as gas attendant and auto mechanic, as he loved working on cars. He was an avid bowler and worked as a lane mechanic at Easton Bowling Center and Choptank Bowling Center. He loved talking with the bowlers and offering advice to the youth bowlers. He was known for always wearing his Dale Earnhardt No. 3 ball cap. He was currently employed as mechanic at Bell Creek Equipment.
He always had a positive presence and was always willing to help anyone. His wife and children were his whole life.
He is survived by wife, Melinda Steenken Ropchock; and their children: Brandi, Stephen, Kaitlyn, Cayden; his mother, Sandra Jones Ropchock; sisters, Rachel Ropchock, Terri Dunbar (Jim); sisters-in-law, Stacy Whitby, Jennifer Franklin (Phil); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Teresa Stare and William K. Steenken Jr., nieces, Destiny Gerkin, Hayley Dunbar, Natalie Dunbar; nephews, Chris Gerkin and Shawn Franklin; great-nephews, Marley, Levi; an uncle, Joe Ropchock (Sondra); and not to forget a cherished family friend, that was a brother, Jason Cook. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael "Steve" Ropchock Jr.; grandfather, Michael Ropchock; and grandmother, Phyllis Lednum Ropchock.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home P.A., 200 S. Harrison St., Easton. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 21, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
