Allen Charles Stauffer

May 15, 1969 - September 13, 2024

Allen Charles Stauffer passed away on September 13, 2024, after a battle with cancer. He was born on May 15, 1969, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Charles and Marjorie Stauffer. After graduating from Scottsbluff High School, he briefly attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln- go Huskers!

In 1988, he married his first wife, Jacque Suhr, and they had two children together. For several years, they owned a pool and spa store in Norfolk, Nebraska.

In 2008, Allen moved to Sioux Falls, where he went to work for Combined Pool and Spa as a service tech and eventually their service manager. A year later, he met Renee Henderson. They were married on February 14, 2012, on St Lucia's Island. Allen and Renee loved to travel! They visited many beautiful beaches during their time together, as well as Italy, France, and many other beautiful parts of the United States. Allen loved getting together with friends for game nights and Sunday Fundays. He was also an avid college football fan and loved camping. He enjoyed time with his grandson Carter as well.

Allen is survived by his wife, Renee of Sioux Falls; parents; sister, Laurinda Stauffer; and nephew, Andrew Gonzales (Crysta) of Scottsbluff, NE. He is also survived by his former wife Jacque Johnson (Frank), son Riley (Abby), son Kyle (Kayla), and grandson Carter, all of Sioux Falls, SD. He has two surviving step-children, Nick Maher (Maddie) of Omaha, NE, and Nate Maher of Sioux Falls. He also has several surviving aunts, uncles, cousins, and 2 grand nieces.

He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents.

A celebration of Allen's life will be held on September 20th from 6 to 10 at 2020 Industrial St, Tea, SD.

To all of Allen's family. As I recall, Allen was a quiet person. At the time of getting to know Allen was when I drove school bus for Highland Rural School. He and his family were hard working farmers. We are so sorry for the loss of your loved one.
