Barbara J. Gipfert July 17, 2021 Barbara J. Gipfert, age 81, of Sidney, NE passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Sidney. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in the First United Methodist Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. There will be no burial at this time. Cremation has been held. Services will be recorded and available on our website for viewing. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday from 1-6:00 P.M. to sign Barbara's register book and leave condolences for the family. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Barbara's care and funeral arrangements. Barbara was born in Lamar, CO on June 8, 1940 to Cleburn and Edna Filbeck. She later moved to Sidney with her family where she met the love of her life John B. Gipfert of 63 years. She was a very loving mother of 2 children Candy Christensen and husband Gevan of Potter, NE and Cassie Travis of Portland, OR. She had 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren of which she was very proud of. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her parents Cleburn and Edna Filbeck and several Aunts and Uncles.
