Linda,
I was so sorry to hear of Al's death. He fought a brave battle and his battle inspired all whose paths he crossed.
The times we all were at the UNC Bone Marrow waiting area, Al always had a smile on his face, an encouraging word to those patients having treatments and positive words of hope for those about to begin treatment.
We all will miss the support he gave those of us traveling down the road, but one thing remains- belief, determination, and family- Al reminded us all, that is what is important in life.
He will be missed.
