Carlton Hobbs Obituary

CARLTON HOBBS

RICHLANDS -- Carlton Hobbs, 79, died December 8, 2008, at home.

Carlton was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War, receiving the Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, and Common Valor. He retired from Civil service and was the former owner of Carbon's Store. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2008, at Bethany Baptist Church, Richlands, with military honors. The Rev. Jim McGraw will officiate. Burial will be at English Hobbs Cemetery, Richlands.

Visitation will be from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Bethany Baptist Church, Richlands.

Survivors: wife, Betty Davis Hobbs; sons, Ricky Hobbs and wife Vickie of Richlands, Todd Hobbs and wife Kim of Richlands; daughters, Greta Hobbs Mills and husband Kenneth of Wallace, Gina Hobbs Whaley and husband Michael of Richlands, Roxann Cashwell and husband Stephen of Willard, Kristie Morris and husband Keith of Richlands; brother, Douglas Hobbs of Raleigh; grandchildren, Chase Hobbs and wife Cassidy, Chance Hobbs and wife Tammy, Taylor Hobbs, Blake Davis, Trishelle Misciagno and husband Philip, Aaron Cashwell and wife Crystal, Keighton Venanzi, Kaleb Willaford and Kias Willaford; six great-grandchildren.
