Danny Turner Obituary
Wilmington -
Danny Ray Turner, 66, beloved husband, grandfather, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend lost his battle with acute leukemia on Sunday evening June 6, 2021 in Wilmington, NC. Danny and his family ventured from Virginia to Wilmington, North Carolina in the late 1990's and he worked at Graybar Electric. Danny and the family enjoyed family trips to Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia and locally frequented Kure Beach. In 2006, Phyllis Ann Blankenship Turner, Danny's beloved wife, passed away from breast cancer and now they are reunited with our heavenly father above.
He is survived by his son, Scott Turner, and his daughter Laura Swartz, his grandchildren, Rylee, Andrew, Noah, & Gabriel, his father Ralph Turner, and his brother Ronnie Turner. He leaves behind even more extended family, who will all miss him dearly.
The family will greet friends at the home of Danny Turner on Thursday June 10th from 2pm-6pm.

I'm so sorry to hear this. As an ex-boyfriend of Laura's, I valued his and Phyllis's guidance as parents of my own. They were truly amazing human beings who will never be forgotten.

Saddened to hear of Danny´s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Danny at Graybar in Wilmington for about 4 years. He was one of the most dedicated employees I worked with in my 20 years with the company.
My father was diagnosed with the same illness and it took him much too early also.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
I miss him to this day since leaving Wilmington in 2014.
