Condolences to the Stuart family,
Sometimes words come too late for those who are lost. As I was dressing my own son for prom, I wondered how Greg was (my prom date of 1984). MY GRIEF WAS OVERWHELMING as I realized that he was no longer with us. Greg was my friend, confidant, and love. He was very important to my young life and will be sorely missed. I will always remember his smile, empathy, and how he saved me from the depths of adolescent grief and gave my life meaning. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. See you,
Love Lynne Michelfelder

Alan & Josette, I can't seem to find the words to tell you how very shocked and sorry I am for your loss. I was looking on FB to send Greg & Deb a friend request but couldn't find Greg..the last time I saw him he came in the ER when I had a mild heart attack to take me to Radiology, that same big smile and big hug just warmed my heart and he put me so at ease as I was nervous over the heart cath that was scheduled for the next day,my entire stay in NH he was in my room everyday and we promised to not lose touch but did anyway much to my sadness. My heart goes out to you all because I know that you loved Greg very much, who could help but love him he was a wonderful person, always smiling, always Greg...he was a very special friend and we had many good memories that I will treasure always..much love and prayers to you both and to all the lives that Greg touched, he will be greatly missed..much love, Ethel and family

Dear Gregory,
I long for one last hug, one last kiss and one last smile. Thoughts of you gone still keep me empty inside. I will always remember your warm and loving smile. As we saw each other daily, your charm made me feel like the luckiest woman in the world. I miss my best friend, my companion and my golfing buddy. It seems illogical to mourn someone you still so actively love. You will always have a special place in my heart where I will keep you safe and warm. I will miss the life we had and the one that we would have had for a long time. I will think of you every day and especialy when I have "Sunshine On My Shoulders".
Forever your loving companian and best friend.

I only just found out Greg had passed, but that doesn't make the sadness I feel less pronounced. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met, and I'm so sad to think I won't see him in the halls at work anymore. My thoughts are with his close friends and family. He was truly loved and will never be forgotten by any of his New Hanover family.

Greg, thank you for being one of the first smiling faces I saw at New Hanover as a "fresh-out-of-school-and-scared-to-death" x-ray tech. I'll always remember your smile, your laugh, and how immediately mood-elevating just being in your presence always was. I love you brother, rest easy

Greg was one of the brightest lights to shine where ever he went. I remember him as my student while he was in school rotating at my facility. I always tell a few of his stories still in class and I still will share them as they will make me smile. He will be missed by so many because he made a difference to so many people.

I've had the pleasure of working with Greg for three years now. Us both being from New York we always had pleanty of Italian stories to swap. He was one of the co-workers I'd get excited to work with. Never a bad way to start work with a hug from Greg. To all my co-workers, we will get through this. To Greg's beloved family, my thoughts are with you. And to his parents; Mrs. Stuart he always told us you have the soul of a saint. Mr. Stuart I believe you truley were not only Greg's best friend but hero. He loved and charish you both. If your half as great as he told us than it's no wonder why he was such an amazing man, worker and friend.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Stuart famiy along with all of his work family. Greg and I worked together for many years after graduating 1 year apart. He kept our spirits high on 2nd shift with his fun loving personality and antics. One of the many fond memories I have of Greg involves a newspaper interview that we were asked to do at work, concerning the Cape Fear CC Radiography program and our work as Rad Techs. His personality and enthusiasm left the reporter awestruck and so he quickly became the star of the interview. He will be missed greatly by many.

I have known Greg for many years and in all of those years he never failed to have a big smile on his face and a big hug for me. He was such a sweet and encouraging presence when my dear Father was in the hospital and he showed up to take the radiographs. Heaven has received a sweet and loving soul who shall be greatly missed by everyone here. I was blessed to have known him. My love and prayers for all of his family during this time.
