Marvin Tedder Obituary

MARVIN JEROME TEDDER

Tedder, Mr. Marvin Jerome, 68, of Hallsboro, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was born June 10, 1942 in Columbus County, the son of the late Maxie and Valurma Sewell Tedder. He was a local Whiteville Attorney for 35 years and was a member of the NC State Bar and the Columbus County Bar Association. He was also a member of the NC Academy of Trial Lawyers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Hallsboro United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Mooney Tedder; a daughter, Scarlett Tedder Folsom and husband, Steve, of Whiteville; two sons, Brian Watts of Greensboro and Matt Tedder and wife, Kimberly, of Whiteville; six grandchildren, Cameron and Caroline Watts, Savanna, Gabrielle and Grant Tedder, and Allison Lovette. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Tedder.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Friday, January 14, 2011, at Whiteville United Methodist Church by Rev. Bill Boykin and Rev. Willie Allen. Interment will be in Whiteville Memorial, Cemetery.
