Stephen Holden Obituary

STEPHEN DALE HOLDEN Stephen Dale Holden, 64, of Supply died Monday March 9, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Mr. Holden was born in New Hanover County on May 27, 1950 and was the son of Marie Holden of the home and the late Charlie Obbie Holden. Mr. Holden was a retired School Teacher. During the early 70's he served as a Park Ranger at Hatteras Island, NC. He enjoyed fishing, golf and telling stories. He was deeply devoted grandfather, better known as "Paco" to his beautiful grandchildren and was excited that another one was on the way. Survivors in addition to his mother include two children, Frazier Holden, Tanner Holden and wife Brittany all of Wilmington; grandchildren, Banks Holden, Perry Jane Holden, Olivia Mae Creech; a brother, Jerry Holden and wife Helen of Whiteville, dear friend and special cousin, Dale Clemmons of Supply. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 12, 2015 at 11am at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverend Jesse Mooney and Reverend Lonnie Varnam officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgetown-Holden Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Tanner Holden, Jerry Holden, Dale Clemmons, Trent Chavis, Timmy Hewett, Don Clemmons. There is no visitation.
