I met Mike through his lovely wife, Peggy. While visiting with her, I had the opportunity to talk to him. He was a man of great intellect and enthusisam and a great storyteller. His affection for his family was obvious and I know his death is a great loss to him and his friends.

Mike and I had recently reconnected after several years. He always was kind and maintained a good sense of humor. I will never forget the time we spent together coaching Miranda and Marvin's soccer team. Mike was a great guy, had a positive impact on all those he encountered and will be sorely missed. Peggy, Marvin and Miranda, my prayers are with you.

I only knew Mike since this March, but I was able to talk with him several times a week. We were able to talk of those interesting things that few others care about. I thought we would become best of friends in due time. I will remember him.

I first "met" Mike 9 years ago when I joined EDS. Mike and I never worked face to face but found ourselves collaborating remotely on many projects. I earned great respect for him and feel a great loss. My thoughts and prayer go out to Mike's family and friends. He has been a dynamic force for all of us and we are all better for having known him. The highest compliment I can think to give someone is to say they had a life well lived. Mike did all that and more. Rest peacefully, my friend.

Mike was a great colleague and wonderful friend. He was always willing to help and enjoyed learning and teaching. I will miss him.
