Alex Piña Obituary

It is with great sadness and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, father -in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and cousin, Alex Piña.

Alex was born on April 28, 1935, to Amada Guerra Piña and Silverio Piña, Alex grew up with a strong sense of family and work ethic. He dedicated 30 years of his life to public service, working as an accountant at Bergstrom Air Force Base until his well-deserved retirement in April 1993.

Alex was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 60 years, Antonia (Toni) Piña, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. He also joins his parents, Amada and Silverio Piña; his sister, Elena Piña; his brother, Martin Piña; and his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Piña, in eternal rest.

Alex is survived by his devoted children: Estella (Don) Hill, Elena (Billy) Sifuentes, Alex (Rachel) Piña, Albert (Debbie) Piña, Janie (Bob) Roman, Tina (Mike) Sullivan, and Michael (Jennifer) Piña. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Alex is survived by his sister-in-law, Janie (Vicente) Perez and his brother-in-law, Frank (Penny) Martinez.

The Piña family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Gurneet Kohli and his dedicated staff, as well the St. David's Hospice staff, for their exceptional care and support during Alex's final days.
