David RICHARDSON Obituary

RICHARDSON, David Bocar "Bo" June 4, 1997 April 22, 2018 David Bocar "Bo" Richardson passed away on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22nd, 2018. Bo loved Mother Earth and enjoyed being outdoors, connecting with people, and being of service. Bo aspired to be a Park Ranger and earned college credits by attending the National Outdoor Leadership School in the summers, trekking and canoeing through The Yukon and the mountains of Wyoming. He was a student at Austin Community College. Bo also enjoyed making music, poetry slams, hiking, swimming, cooking, Scrabble, travel, and most of all, spending time with friends and family. We will remember Bo's mischievous, easy smile and the sparkle in his eyes. He was a thoughtful person who made friends easily and keeping in touch with his loved ones was a priority. Bo ended even the shortest conversation with "I love you." One of Bo's favorite songs was "Rocket Man." As Bo travels on his timeless flight, he leaves behind: his parents David K. Richardson and Kathryn Holt Richardson; brothers Brandon and Miles Richardson; stepmother Lynn Richardson; stepsiblings Jasmine Pierre'Auguste and Xavier Pierre'Auguste; grandmother Dr. Barbara Blayton Richardson; grandfather Joseph P. Holt and his wife Dr. Alyson Beausoleil-Holt; grandmother Carol Masters and her husband Charles Masters; Dr. Alden Jackson and Dr. Lisa Jackson; Coleman and Cleo Jackson; Joseph P. Holt, Jr. and his wife Pam; Kim, Reuben and Stephen Spence; cousins Anita and Imani Dabney and Ashton and Jennifer Cumberbatch and their children Virginia, Graham, Elizabeth, and Ben; Judy, Rickey, Vannessa and Javohn Jackson; and close family friends Sheila Turner and Chayo Balderas. He follows his grandfather Dr. George G. Richardson (deceased). We will celebrate his life with an outdoor reception and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to The National Outdoor Leadership School. www.nols.edu.

As I wrote previously Bo was my son's best friend. They spent hours and hours together making music, being friends, formulating a friendship that to this day my son holds in his heart. We talk of Bo often and not one conversation goes by where my son cries in sadness for the loss of his best friend in the world.

Bo, Christian misses you so much, your music, your humor, your support, your heart and your friendship. Christian is so, so lost without your friendship. We speak of you often as father and son and through Christian I have come to know you and your goodness, your pureness, and your light. Your light will never be dimmed with us and we will remember you until our own last days. Thank you for being my sons friend, and as well all of the other peoples lives you touched so deeply while you were here. --

David,

I cannot say how sorry I am to hear of Bo's transition. Please know that I think of you all often and shall never forget the specialness which he brought to the family. I remember Oscar explaining the special way his middle name was created. God has completed His purpose for Bo, and now is his time to rest. When you long to see his face, call upon him. He will show himself to you to bring you comfort.

With love, peace and blessings,

I am coming to grips that you have transitioned away from this world. Your spirit even when I knew you as a very young child was pure and without guile. To me you were always who you are. Your smile and your expressions always shift energy to happiness and laughter. I love you and your family. I wanted so much to celebrate your visit to this planet with those that love you yesterday, but was not able to. I will seek to find a sacred moment and time to do that. Mark

We offer our deepest sympathies to the Richardson family for your profound loss. We have fond memories of Bo. He was a wonderful young man and he will be greatly missed. May the power of prayer ease your sorrow, give you peace and provide much comfort during this difficult time.

He was such a good friend to my son Christian, who is devastated by his passing. Bo's friendship was everything to Christian as he was my son's best friend, not only were they friends but they collaborated constantly on making music together. There wasn't a day that went by that I would ask Christian what he was doing and he would respond "I'm making music with Bo".
They spent hours together creating songs or "beats" as Christian used to tell me. Often Bo let Christian crash at his place after their marathon sessions of creating the music they both loved.

How do you say thank-you to someone you never got a chance to meet, but who made such a great difference in the life of someone you love?
All I can say at this moment is, Bo, thank you so much for caring for, and loving all of the people in your life, as I am sure my son was not the only one who benefited from your grace, understanding, and love.

Bo, even though I was never able to meet you, I will never forget you, as every time I hear the music you and Christian created together I will hear and feel your spirit and soul.-with love and admiration, Christian's dad.
