Kennedy Obilom Obituary

Kennedy Ikenna Obilom Our handsome, peaceful prince and humble son Kennedy left this earth to join our Almighty God January 19, 2011. He was born in Austin, Texas October 13, 1992, survived by his parents, Philip and Cecilia Obilom; four sisters, Cherie, Jessica, Stephanie, and Karen Obilom. Many people whose lives he touched have been saying that my Prince Kennedy, the only son of his father is an Angel of God and a Good Samaritan who died in the line of duty helping others, a thing he loved to do while on earth. He was loved by so many people that he had met. Kennedy was a senior student of Round Rock High School and college-bound to study engineering. Son, we are grieving over your sudden death at age 18 and we will miss you so dearly until we meet again. Our love for you is unconditional. Wake-keeping will be held January 28, 2011 at North Austin Event Center, 10601 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78753, from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held January 29, 2011 at St. James Episcopal Church, 1941 Webberville Road, Austin, TX, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service at Fountain of Memories Garden at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX. Reception will follow immediately at St. James Episcopal Church

To Obilom Family,

My deepest and profound sympathy to the Obilom Family. My prayer is that the love of our God and His peace will comfort you. Please know, that the life that Kennedy lived in this world was a blessing and a joy to all who knew him. I pray that this lesson will be learned by all of us. Let us be a joy and blessing to all until the time when we will go to place where Kennedy will be waiting for those who he left behind and there will be no more weeping.

Dearest Philip and CeCe and family:
I was so disturbed when I saw on the news that this beautiful child could belong to you .... Obilom is not a common name.
My heart is breaking for you; there is nothing more dreadful than loosing you child, especially your one and only baby boy.
I told my children that Danielle, my little red haired girl and her best friend, Amanda, were bridesmaids in your wedding.
My husband, Stan, died Monday, the father of our child Stephani, 20 yrs younger than Danielle. It was too surreal. My father passed the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
May God provide you with the comfort in knowing that your son was loved by many and enjoyed a beautiful life.
I've been telling people that God is preparing a beautiful world for us.
He has the contractors and the engineer. They are the ones enjoying God's wonderful and peaceful world. May they not forget us here.
I love you and pray that God will send you the Comforter!
Hugs and Kisses and Much Love....Patti (Hancock) Marx and family.

Hey wilson uh .. I miss you man when something like this happens to a friend you got used to seeing everyday and playing ball in the gym, doing summer camps, classes, lunches you name it i did everyone single with you at least once a day. I am happy you have found that happy place every one wishes for and hopes to be in. I helped get together your prayer poem and in case you lost your copy like in spanish class crazy, heres another bro"God saw that he was getting tired, and the cure was not to be. So he put his arms around him and whispers come with me. Although we loved him dearly our hearts cant make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. The good lord took you to prove .... He only takes the best. I miss you dearly and love you bro. And I know you loved my truck and always wanted to go to the races with me...when I am done I will show you first.
