Kerry was the first woman I met that spelled her name the same as mine - she hired me at Hastings in 1980 and was a wonderful boss. I was only there for 2 years, but we all went through a lot together with every day life - I know Rainbo was her joy. I was just googling names and found out she had passed - I'm sorry she couldn't see her family progress. I am sure she is missed!!

I knew Kerry long ago. She was beautiful and talented. We got into a lot of things together and caused Mrs. Kelly plenty of grief I am sure. I remember us sewing bell bottom pants together at her house and going out to visit her in Buda. We finally lost touch, but I never forgot her. Sad that she died so young. Hate to hear that. Seems kind of surreal. Love to the family.

KERRY HIRED ME IN MAY OF 2000, AND SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER FACE EVEN ON A BAD DAY, SHE WAS DEFINITELY AN INSPIRATION TO A WHOLE LOT PEOPLE, IF YOU EVER NEEDED SOMEONE TO TALK TO THEN SHE MADE TIME OUT FOR YOU NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY AND THEN WHEN I LEFT TO GO STAY HELP MY FATHER IN HOUSTON SHE COMPLETELY UNDERSTOOD, AND SHE EVEN CALLED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND I TRULY APPRECIATED THAT. WHEN I CALLED TO SEE HOW THINGS WERE GOING HERE ABOUT 10 MONTHS LATER SHE TOLD ME THAT I COULD HAVE MY JOB BACK, BUT I WAS SADDENED TO FIND THAT WHEN I DID RETURN SHE HAD RETIRED, BUT ALAS SHE WILL DEFINITELY BE MISSED AND SHE WAS WELL LOVED AND THAT IS THE WAY I WANT TO REMEMBER HER. I only got to work with Kerry for a couple of years, but we had a lot in common, being old "flower children" and all. I wish i had gotten to know her much better. She was a good boss, and she was an extraordinary person. She had so much courage and passion for life, and such a strong faith. She will be greatly missed.

I wish I would have had the chance to know you better, you were not here when Jerry hired me...all I know is that only the strong can handle certain things in this life
and you were certainly that!!!
I will get to know you better in Heaven, I pray for your loved ones!!

Kerry hired me on to Hastings in September of 2000. I will never forget how she would light up the office when she came in every morning. She was a great boss!

I'm glad to have known her & to have shared her world. To have laughed, cried & prayed with this unique, precious pearl. I will always hold dear all she meant to me as she helped me to become all I could be.
I worked with Kerry for about 16 years & she was an inspiration to all she touched. C.J.

I work at Capital Dialysis and met Kerry there. She was a source of inspiration and strength. My condolences to the family (some of whom I met briefly) and pray that Kerry is no longer suffering and has gone to be with the Lord. God Bless you all.
