Roxan Martin Obituary

Roxan Lynn Martin Feb. 10, 1970 - Apr. 21, 2008 Roxan was a resident of Round Rock, Texas where she had lived with her daughter Brittany who is the love of her life, until God opened his hands and helped her go home to be with Him. Roxan Lynn Minton was born on February 10, 1970 in Longmont, Colorado to her parents and closest friends, Jim and Shar Minton of Austin, Texas. Roxan attended school in Austin and lived and worked in the Austin and Round Rock area for the most of her life. Roxan was a caring, loving, and extremely family oriented person. Her joy was in her daughter Brittany and her pleasure of writing beautiful stories of life. Roxan always enjoyed traveling to Nebraska and Colorado to be with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Harold Svendsen and Mable Minton. Roxan will truly be missed by her daughter: Brittany Martin, Parents James and Sharlene Minton and Sister Dawn and husband Mark, along with special niece and nephew, Harley Anne and Hunter Canales, and numerous family and friends that will always be indebted to God for allowing us to have Roxan from day one to her final day. Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy. Roxan would want to remember all, but especially Grandma Darlene Svendson, Grandpa Frank Minton, Aunts Cindy Cohn and Anita Newill, Uncle Gerald, and her close love and friend Michael Parker. Roxan, our hearts are heavy, but we will hold you again. Thank you Lord for easing Roxans pain, and loving her always Amen. Visitation will be held on Friday April 25, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. My Dear Roxan, I keep asking myself over and over again,Why? The only reason I can come up with is that GOD WAS WAITING FOR HIS SPECIAL ANGEL TO COME HOME AND BE WITH HIM. I will never forget you. You are one of a kind. Thank you for being my good friend and being part of my life. You will always be in my heart. Roxie, I remember the day you told ,THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF SHADOWS OF DEATH,I FEAR NO EVIL. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, MY FRIEND. I SHALL NEVER FORGET YOU.

Im not sure why all of this happened, but I do know it happened for a reason, maybe Brittney has to experience this to figure out something about life and maybe it'll take her somewhere totally different in life that she wouldn't have been able to do with you with. But you're always with us everywhere we go no matter what. You were like a second mother to me. I'll truly miss walking into your house and running over to you and hugging you. Im not sure what it was about you but I just felt warmth when I hugged you, I felt so comfortable in your house and around you like nothing could ever hurt me. I remember spending the night at your house and Brit and myself were in your room trying to figure out what movies to watch. And your scent! You always smelled so good, always. And your voice, I'll never forget that voice, it was just so soft and loving and it had this certian uniqueness that I cant quite describe. I just wish I could have told you all this. I will always love and miss you Roxan!

To my bestest friend Roxan,
I'll really miss you with all my heart and soul. We have known each other since the 8th grade and have been friends for so many years with great memories which I will cherish forever. We use to laugh at the silliest things. You were there for me during all of my children's births, through all the good and bad times, through so much. You always accepted me no matter what and stood up for me and made me feel at home. You once never criticized me or judged me, always were my friend through times when I wouldn't want to be my own friend. Thanks for loving me and for so many special memories, I love you, Rox!!!
