Wanda Eeds Obituary

Mrs. Wanda Eeds Mrs. Wanda Eeds, 91, passed away at San Marcos on October 18, 2008. Wanda was born on May 22, 1917 to Julius R. and Lydia Dedeke Ploetz in Lockhart, Texas. She had worked at the First Lockhart National Bank as a loan teller and the Lockhart State Bank before her retirement. Wanda was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lockhart and a charter member of the H. T. Rainey Post # 41 of the American Legion Auxiliary. She had lived in Lockhart her entire life. Wanda will be remembered for her beautiful smile and great sense of humor. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Dean Eeds, the love of her life, in 1995. She is survived by her two sons, Carroll Beirne Eeds of Lockhart, Texas and Walter Chapman Eeds II and wife Jan of Lago Vista; eight beautiful grandchildren, Kelle Balch, Leslie Estrada, Jason Eeds, Eric Eeds, Walter Chapman Eeds III, and Lacee Eeds; eight great-grandchildren. A visitation was held at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 .p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where family and friends were in attendance. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lockhart, Texas with Rev. Dr. Terry Bozarth officiating. Serving as the pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Burial will follow at the Lockhart City Cemetery. All arrangements with Eeds Funeral Home 408 South Main Street, Lockhart, Texas 78644. I am so sorry to hear that your Mother had passed away. I will always remember eating at her wonderful enchiladas. They were the best...I know that she will be watching over you until you meet again.

I so enjoyed talking with Mrs Eeds when she would see Dr. Broberg in Lockhart. She was a remarkable lady, and a SPIFFY dresser. She always was perfectly groomed. My deepest sympathy to all. Charmane Cross ( I worked at the front desk for Dr. Broberg)
