Ruby Staninger Obituary

Ruby J. Staninger

Salem - Ruby J. Staninger, our sweet and beloved mother, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 19, 2019. She was 88 years old. Ruby was born on December 27, 1930 in Sunnyside, Washington to Ervin and Mary Belle Robinson, and was the youngest of five children. Ruby married Rufus Dabill in Yakima, Washington on June 7, 1947. Together they raised eight children. Ruby once estimated they moved approximately 30 times in their 29 years of marriage! Later in life, she married Robert Staninger, and they were married for 22 years until his death in 2005. At the time of her death, Ruby resided at Jason Lee Manor in Salem, Oregon, where she made many lasting friendships.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and her eldest son, Joe Dabill. She is survived by her children, Steve Dabill of Templeton, California, Chuck Dabill (Mary) of Chiloquin, Oregon, Gwen Barnett (Doug) of Winton, California, Cindy Randall (Leonard) of Orofino, Idaho, Debby Kjosness (Dave) of Eugene, Oregon, Wayne Dabill (Sandy) of Weippe, Idaho, and Christine Bazemore of Stonewall, Oklahoma, 23 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Salem First Church of the Nazarene on Friday, February 1st at 2:00 pm.
