March 2, 1958 - February 11, 2022
Heavenly Father, thank you for the life of Rocky Lane Everidge, placed on this earth March 2, 1958. Husband for the past 38 years to Joanna Nelson Everidge; dad to Kimberly Everidge and Shela (Lee) Yount; grandpapa to Bohdi Everidge, Lillian, Ian and Luke Yount; brother to Diane Dickens, Margie (Junior) Teaster, Gary and Marie Bustle, Rosalie Shaw, Janie (Philip) Carnell, Rebecca (John) Massey, Johnny (Rena) Nelson, Ricky Nelson; and friend to all.
For 26 years he worked with a great group of people, Willie, Jimmy, Dave, Bobby, Steve and all the others who became family, in the maintenance department at Lowes RDC in Statesville.
Some of the joys in life were sitting on the front porch, fishing at the beach, spending time with his grandchildren, mowing the lawn and simply enjoying life.
He courageously fought leukemia for the last four and half years. He was received in the arms of Jesus Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, there to be reunited with the loved ones who have gone on before.
A celebration of life will be held later in the month of May.
