Anthony Cocco Obituary
He grew up in Hialeah, Florida, and later earned a master's of science degree in Microbiology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Tony began his diverse and highly successful career with Parke Davis Pharmaceuticals in Mobile, Alabama. In 1973, he made a decision to move his family to Palatka, Florida, where he became co-owner of Palatka Ford Lincoln Mercury dealership, retiring in 2010.
Mr. Cocco served on the advisory board of Prosperity Bank of Palatka for many years. When not working he could be found traveling or cheering on the Florida Gators.
In 1999, Tony and his late wife Barbara moved to Crescent Beach in St. Johns County.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Chrystii Cocco of St. Augustine and his sister, Patricia Snowden of Mobile, Alabama.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Craig Memorial Park in St. Augustine.
In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated in Tony's memory to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 14600 Western Parkway, Cary, NC 27513.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is serving the Cocco family.

Chrystii, I am so sorry to hear your dad has passed. I have so many memories of him from when I was a kid, and I can still see him standing over the grill making the best pork chops! "Mr Tony" and "Miss Barbara" were such a huge influence on me in my young life - I learned to read, tie my shoes, and ride a bike at your house. I will always remember them fondly.

I did not know Tony well, we met during hurricane Matthew in Palatka, Florida. He was a warm, outgoing, kind soul and he will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Cocco. I have many great memories from living with the Cocco's briefly and of course Gator games. So sorry to hear of your dad passing, Chrystii. Call me if you need anything, I'm local.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our friend Tony. So many great memories of get togethers with Tony the ever gracious host and master of the grill,as well as many ski trips. I can see Tony standing in the square at Jackson Hole in shirtsleeves pointing to the thermometer reading minus 5. We will miss him and Barbara

Having only met Tony once thru our dear friend, Bronwyn, he left a very nice impression. He was very kind, hospitable and thought the world of Bron, which meant a lot to us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tony's family and friends during this difficult time.
