Donald Wayne Stuart, 63, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 12, 1949, in Portsmouth, Va. He was a lifelong native of St. Augustine, Fla., and recently moved to Prairie du Sac in 2012. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and served during Vietnam. Donald spent many years driving trucks and operating heavy equipment. He enjoyed playing cards, NASCAR racing and making people laugh.
He is survived by his mother, Pat Stuart of Palm City, Fla.; two sisters, Connie (Buddy) Bailes, Palm City, Jean Schneider, Hastings, Fla.; five children, Stephanie (Randy) Ewing, Prairie du Sac, Wis.; Dona Stuart, Raleigh, N.C.; Donald (Elizabeth) Stuart Jr., Garner, N.C.; Delina (Mike) King, Oxford, N.C.; David (Susan) Stuart, Louisburg, N.C.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandsons. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Stuart, and his brother, Richard Stuart.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Hooverson Funeral Home, 251 Water St., Sauk City, Wisc. Military honors will be performed at 7 p.m. by the Lachmund-Cramer VFW Post 7694.
A memorial service will be held in St. Augustine at a later date.
