It will be a year soon since his passing. I miss him and still have moments when I think, oh jeeze, Jeff would have loved this new restaurant! or thought of a funny story which he had plenty! IN his honor a couple of us are going to Bone Fish on the anniversary of his passing to make a toast to him at his favorite drinking hole! God bless us all!

I always thought a lot of Jeff. I knew him for years at Merrill. He took care of my mom and dad's account. My dad used to talk about how much he enjoyed dealing with Jeff until my dad's passing two years ago. Jeff was truly one of a kind. He was one of my favorite people.

I was shockedand saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. We were friends and neighbors (Biddy Lane) and classmates (Forrest) as well as baseball teamates. I'll always remember Jeff's great sense of humor. We had some great laughs growing up.

Words cannot express what is in my heart when I heard that Jeff had died. For more years than I can remember Jeff has been more than a financial advisor -a true and dear friend to me and my family; endlessly patient, kind and giving of his time. I will treasure the memories of his home visits, his humor, and his wide knowledge of all kinds of things. God bless you Jeff, you were a good shepherd. Jeff helped my parents set up a trust for our family and was instrumental in providing guidance and support over the many years and transitions within our family and in the market. His Christian outlook on finances helped our family especially. He was a gentle soul who will be very much missed. His advice was always sincere and carefully thought out. I will especially miss our conversations over the phone as we discussed many issues besides our account. He was a genuine friend. Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends he leaves behind. He will see us all later The Camp/Crosby Family - Tampa, Florida

Our deepest sympathy to Jeff's family. He was a very fine man, and fellow warrior against vicious melanoma. He made such a gentle impact on all who knew him. No more pain for him now, only joy in being with his Lord. The Caraways

I am just one of many who feel as I do. There are many people that we pass through this life with but there are only a handful that made a difference in how we lived. Jeff was my dearest guy friend. He made me laugh our loud, of course who could possibly not laugh out loud with him in a room! I remember years ago, knowing he was some where in the crowd and then I heard the laugh, a giggle to be sure and it was absolutely contagious for every person by him laughed along. He was also my financial advisor and he always made me feel like I was his number 1 but I also know how much he loved his job, his staff and all of his clients...once I asked why he never took long holidays and he said, he had people who relied on him. He worked hard and he played hard. I will always treasure every memory and I am at a loss for words to express to his family but to say that he was loved and is sorely missed, there fore will always live on! I can guarantee that he has a whole new following now! Hear that laugh!

To the family of Jeff Cavan,
I only had the pleasure of meeting Jeff once over the past 20 years, though I spoke with him a myriad of times on the phone. He touched both my mother's and my hearts. He always made my mother, Miss Ellie, feel as though she was the most special person in the world. It takes a rare person to do that, and Jeff was definitely rare. What a tremendous man. My mom and I are so glad to have had him in our lives. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace, Jeff.
With deepest sympathy,
Cathy & Ellie Waibel
