Melinda McCarthy Obituary
Melinda Ann "Mindy" McCarthy, 20, of St. Augustine, died on April 30, 2011, at the McGraw Center in Jacksonville, surrounded by her family. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she had lived most of her life in St. Augustine. Mindy was a loving mother and homemaker, and she attended the Family Worship Center.
She is survived by her parents, John and Kathy McCarthy; a son, Daniel Bernard Lake; a brother, Sean McCarthy; and sisters, Alisha and Gloria McCarthy, all of St. Augustine; maternal grandparents, Arnold and Gloria Ryan of Toledo, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Bonnie McCarthy of St. Augustine; a niece, Taylor McCarthy; nephews, David Sanchez and Ryan Gibson, and lots of aunts and uncles.
Private services were held.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mindy. I spoke with Gloria tonight and she told me about Mindy. She was a wonderful girl and I enjoyed her so much during her years at Sebastian Middle School. My prayers are with your family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

He came by today, saw her face, felt the pain
In the hospital space, and decided that there was a better place,. Where friends and family passed were willing to make a space.
So with tears in our eyes, and pain in our hearts, we watched as she took her last breath here on earth,
Remembering she'll never ever again feel hurt.
We'll whisper your name in days to come, thinking
Of you as stars shine down, smile as we look at your pictures on the wall,,maybe just maybe she,s never
Left at all.......love you melinda ann mccarthy today is 6mths sence u been gone.....i love u so much and ur always in my heart and please answer my prayers......

John and Kathy, We are so sorry for your loss. I was so blessed to have her in my Children Church at a very young age and then to see her grow into a beautiful young lady. She will be truly missed. Daniel, Baby Daniel and McCarthy family, we are so sorry for your loss.. To Daniel and Baby Daniel I know that Mindy was such a big part of your lives and she will be greatly missed!! Baby Daniel will grow up knowing how much his mother loved him I am sure of that!!! To the McCarthy family we are so sorry for your loss, it is never easy losing a loved one, especially such a young one who had a full life to live.
As you all try and cope with the grieving that is going to be difficult please know that Mindy is in heaven looking down on everyone and keeping a very watchful eye!! We are here and if you need anything let us know!!!!
