Shirley Anita Louise Pierson Lauginiger Leduc, 82, of St. Augustine, passed away on January 2, 2021, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine, surrounded by her family.
She was born and raised in Miami, FL and lived in Florida most of her life.
She and her first husband, Richard, moved to Lenoir, N.C., where they resided for 10 years, before relocating to St. Augustine in the late 1980s.
Upon moving to St. Augustine, Shirley worked at Flagler Hospital as an RN and later as a volunteer chaplain. She was a member of Crescent Beach Baptist Church and had also been a longtime member of Anastasia Baptist Church.
Shirley touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her unwavering faith and her mission to share her faith with others.
Shirley's family and friends will especially miss her beautiful smile and contagious laughter.
She is survived by her husband, Gil Leduc, of St. Augustine; daughters, Debora Lee, and her husband, William, Vickie Graham, and her husband, David, all of Tallahassee, Fla., and Angela Chamblin of Hollywood, Fla.; son, Paul Lauginiger, of Ormond Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren (Christina Sadler, Matthew Lee, Ginny Lee, Sean Luggi, Joshua Luggi, Daniel Chamblin, Jacob Chamblin, Brandon Graham, and Victoria Graham. and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Lauginiger and a grandson, Christopher Joel Chamblin.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 7, 2021at Crescent Beach Baptist Church, with Dr. David Beauchamp officiating. A visitation, beginning at 1:00 p.m., will precede the service.
Interment will take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery on January 14, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
