Eva Nan Dole

Eva Nan Dole, age 92 of Huntsville, went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 7, 2025. She was preceded in death by her darling "Johnny" Louis John Dole, Jr.; parents, J.L. and Era McLaughlin; in-laws, Lillie and Louis John Dole, Sr.; and brother, Jimmy McLaughlin. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Dole Robinson (Robbie); sons, Louis John Dole III (Charlotte), Michael Scott "Scotty" Dole (Brandi) and Eric Todd Dole; sisters, Pearl Israel, Joyce Keplinger and Billie Ruth Walters; brother, Buddy McLaughlin; grandchildren, Amy Sterling (Will), Sara Robinson (Chris Kearney), Eva Marie Dole, Louis John Dole IV, Savannah Sexton and Cane Maltbie; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Cora, Addilyn, Halle and Layna; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Eva Nan was born in 1932 and grew up "down the valley" of Leeds and after skipping 1st grade she attended 2nd grade at Mt. Hebron School and graduated from Leeds High School in 1951. Her first job after High School was at 1st National Bank in downtown Birmingham while living at the Eva B. Comer Christian Home for Business Girls. She met and married Johnny in 1954. After the birth of their 4th child, they moved to Huntsville in 1967 and she remained in the same home until her death. She loved Alabama football, going to their home in Panama City Beach and taking care of her yard, but most of all she loved her family. Her family celebrated her life by receiving friends on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 12-1 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Leeds and her service began at 1:00. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
