Curtis Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by S.M. Goodson Funeral Homes and Crematory - Talladega on Jan. 11, 2025.
Mr. Curtis C. Davis, II blessed this world with his presence on April 22, 1963 when he was born to the union of Curtis C. Davis, Sr. and Corrina D. Johnson Davis in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mr. Davis was educated in the St. Clair County School System where he was a graduate of Leeds High School. He joined the United States Army serving his country faithfully prior to his honorable discharge. The military offered him great experiences in life with travel being the best one. He travelled extensively throughout the United States and overseas and by the Grace of God, he completed nearly nine years of dedication to his country. After time served in the military, Mr. Davis returned home to start a new chapter in his life as a welding mechanic at the Anniston Army Depot where he worked many years before retiring to enjoy the fruit of his labor.
Mr. Davis was a person of wisdom, kindness, strength, and laughter. He had a true servant heart and wanted to leave every person better than he found them. He was a giant of a man and encouraged many. Mr. Davis love for others was born of his love for God and he will be greatly missed. He truly loved his family and church community.
Along Mr. Davis 61-year journey, he met a very trusting and loving companion, the former Ms. Regina Beavers. The couple developed a friendship that led to a lifelong bond after being united in Holy Matrimony. Curtis and Regina enjoyed life until the very end, sharing many wonderful memories of fun, laughter and love with their children and grandchildren.
A well-devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, Mr. Curtis Davis, III received his Master's Call on January 10, 2025, while in the care of UAB - St. Vincent's in Pell City, Alabama surrounded by his beloved family. Once gaining his wings, Mr. Davis was reunited with his father, Curtis Davis, Sr. Whether there were opportunities or challenges in his life, his attitude was always consistently positive with a smile and a light heart. He had a cheerful personality...always making people around him feel comfortable. He truly loved his family while living his life to the fullest. Family and friends genuinely will miss him and forever honor and cherish his memories.
Mr. Davis leaves his fun loving memories to forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Regina; daughters, Ashley, Karyne, Jasmine (James), and Bethany; grandchildren, Jaylen, Kaitlyn, Cameron, Christian, Brooklyn, Remington, Benton, and Silas; mother, Corrina; brothers, Tony and Rodney (Shay); and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
As we remember Mr. Curtis Davis, III, let us carry forward his legacy of love, joy, and the celebration of life itself. May his soul find peace, and may we find comfort in the cherished memories we hold dear.
