Beulah Pillars Obituary

Pillars, Beulah (nee Abernathy), 99, Feb. 7, 2006.
Mrs. Pillars was a secretary for her father's real estate co. in the 1920's. She was the wife of the musician Charles Pillars. She retired in 1994 after 26 years of dedicated service in the Volunteer Foster Grandparent program.Mrs. Pillars is survived by nieces Shirley B. Carroll, Rose Jones and nephew Aaron Thomas Sr.; great-niece and nephews, Sharon M. Carroll, Larry W. Doss and Morris M. Carroll; great-great-grand-nephews and nieces, Christopher and Casey Doss, Piper, Perri and Payton Carroll and a host of other nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Marietta Woods Abernathy and LaVerne Pillars Reed.Services: The funeral arrangements by Austin Layne. Funeral Feb. 13, 12:00. Interment Valhalla Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
