I first ment Gary at a St. Louis gym I managed. He came in with the goal of losing weight and building some muscle. After that, the rest was history. Gary was bitten by the iron bug and never looked back. Over the years Gary and I became good friends, even sharing birthdays. Gary was like a brother to me. Since moving out of the area I lost touch with Gary and was extremly sad to here of his passing. I have so many stories concerning Gary that recalling them here would be difficult and time consuming for sure. Surfice it to say that Gary was a very generous and kind individual who love his children, life and loved to have fun. I will always remember his infectious laugh, deep voice and smile. I am truly a better person for having spent time with my friend and brother. Rest in peace

About 7 years ago I was pushing my shopping cart out of the Deirbergs (Tesson Ferry and Mattis Rd.) and spotted one of those high horsepower Cadillacs (black wagon).
So I went over to check it and a guy was loading groceries into it. I said hey how do you like driving that ? The guy said I love it, it´s real fast, as he reached in his pocket for the key to it. He handed me the key and said let´s go, you drive! I felt like I did not want his milk and stuff to spoil while I hot rodded his car around.
We talked for 10 or 15 minutes about cars. He told me his name was Gary Litzsinger. Anyway, he was a really cool guy. He had never met me before and truly treated me like a good friend.

Shocked to find out Gary is gone. I had spoke with him not long ago and we discussed the changing world and the world we remembered growing up. We laughed so loud , I had tears in my eyes. What a great big laugh Gary had. Gary was the "real deal". I am so sorry for your loss.
