Herbert Prasse Obituary
Beloved husband of Ellen Page Prasse; dear father of Herbert Prasse, III. (Donna), David Prasse, and Michael Prasse; brother of Beth Seeley (Rich), and Jane Taft; brother in-law of John Page Jr.; and proud grandfather of Kevin Prasse.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Herbert F. Prasse and Elizabeth Retter Prasse and sister Judith Bassett (William).
Herb was born July 27, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio.
He graduated from University School in Cleveland, Ohio and received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He was employed by Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies and retired after many years of service.
He was a lover of baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, and was an avid ball player in his younger years. More recently, he could often be seen walking his yellow lab/best buddy Max around the neighborhood. He was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Des Peres, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to The American Cancer Society or The American Lung Association.

Dear Ellen and family,
We are are sorry for your loss. Herb, I knew him as Herbie, was my oldest cousin. He was the baseball player who went to US that played catch with me when he visited grandpa Albert’s house on a hot summer day when we were both young.

Herb was indeed the "Mayor of Kehrs Mill" and a faithful and steadfast landmark of our daily lives as we walked that little plot with him and Max mornings and afternoons. We grieve with Ellen and her family and hope there is some comfort in knowing Herb will be missed and remembered by the many friends he made along the way. God speed, Herb!

My thoughts prayers and deepest sympathy to you Ellen and your family. Herb was such a friendly man. He loved his dogs. We would always stop and chat when he was walking his dog and if I was in my car and he was walking he would always wave. I will be thinking of you.
